Resolve to Travel

Kirk Nelson

January 1.
New Year’s Day.
Football.
Resolutions.

Ah, yes, resolutions. All the good things I am going to do for myself and others in the new year.

  1. Eat better and exercise more. Check.
  2. Lose weight. Double check.
  3. Improve my golf game. Reality check.
  4. Travel. Why wouldn’t we?

At AAA we have a team of travel professionals who are eager to help you plan your dream trips—from exciting road trips across the U.S. and Canada to cruises and guided tours almost anywhere in the world. Want to take the family to Disney World? How about a train trip across Canada? Or a cruise to exotic and romantic Mediterranean ports? We can help turn that resolution into a wonderful reality.

In January we are hosting cruise shows and other related travel shows that will introduce you to many spectacular travel options. You can find details for these events on page 37 of this publication. You can also read about Dublin pubs and, closer to home, some pretty incredible Northwest indoor activities to keep you out of the wind and rain (indoor skydiving, anyone?).

I already have a plan to fulfill my travel resolution. My wife, Patty, and I will host our inaugural President’s Cruise from June 3 to 17, when we will be among the first guests to sail on board Oceania Cruises’ new ship, Riviera, which debuts in April. We will follow the path of the ancient explorers to ports in Spain, Portugal and Morocco. Now’s the time to book your cabin for what will undoubtedly be a memorable experience (contact your AAA travel agent to learn more).

New Year’s Resolutions. One down and … now on to the others …
