Checkpoints program helps parents teach teens road to safe driving

Vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death among 16- to 19-year olds and AAA wants to help parents get more involved in teaching their teens how to become safe drivers. AAA is currently working with the National Institutes of Health to adapt the highly successful ‘Checkpoints’ program into an online offering branded under the AAA name. Originally scheduled to be offered by December 2007, this parent-involvement effort is now expected to be rolled out in February 2008. Watch this website location for more information about how to enroll in the program and get started on the road to safe driving!
