I was very much enjoying my daughter’s issue and the travel articles encouraging travelers to choose local, ride public transport, and hopefully have a lighter impact. And then, in the article about visiting Spokane, I read the meal choices: ‘tacos filled with blackened ahi tuna, jicama and lime creme fraiche.’ I’d like to encourage your writers to practice what they preach. As far as I know tuna, jicama and lime are not local to Spokane. I look forward to future travel articles with emphasis on local produce, local transport and less impact. Good luck.
